I feel a chill down my spine

It starts in my head, creeps down my spine, and causes my whole body to tingle with the sensation. I feel the cold seeping through my skin, into my blood, as the cider courses through my veins. My heart feels like a frozen rock. With what little light there is my vision is blurred, the overwhelming surreality overtaking my brain, my thoughts. Blood begins to drip from my mouth, though I feel no pain. Only icy numbness. The blood falls from my maw to the floor, staining it red. I stare at it with a sick fascination I cannot begin to understand. I claw aimlessly at the floor, breathing heavily. Warmth! screams my skin, beginning to turn purple

I think that of all the things I've written, I'm most fond of this. Maybe because it was so spontaneous and originally posted on OpenDiary, maybe because it's kinda eerie, but probably because of the whole sensory diction thing.

The One-Legged Man in ThailandI don’t know his story. I was merely passing by. A muggy summer day in downtown Bangkok, I was en route to the mall, and I was thinking that my feet hurt.
I was lucky to have two.
I saw the rugged-looking man standing there, if you could call it standing, holding a cup or maybe a tin.
One glance, just a moment’s, and then I did a double take. That man, he had one less leg than I did.
I didn’t stop at all, just kept right on walking. For a while he was put out of my head, but he crept back in.

I'm kinda crazy. I tend to write best when I'm sleep-deprived, depressed, or really pissed off. When I take good pictures it's usually by accident. I enjoy experimenting with eye makeup, and some of the best looks I've come up with have been created in the middle of the night. I see life in strange ways, and I dun like people all that much. I also dun care about what people think, because being crazy is so much better that way.

how very novel!

finished the abusive relationship poem. (Black love and gray abuse- checkittt out.) diary book on hold. found the manuscript of a short story I wrote waaaay back in 7th grade, and I worked on revising/editing it for a few days. it's turned into a bit of a commentary on how legality tends to be preferred over safety, disgused as a stupid puppy-love-turned-horror-story sort of thing. (don't ask. I'll post it when I'm finished.) that's also on hold, though. also on hold is a project that includes writing that I've done over the years- including diary entries, poems, etc. also on hold. working on turning into the few pages of a novel I started last summer into a real story. stupid dream of writing the next Great American Epistolary (look it up) Novel? yeah, maybe. but I'm having fun with it either way.
muse has been at a decent level for the last couple of weeks, so I'm taking advantage of it while I've got it. churning out some prompt sort of stuff, which I'm excited about and should be posting over the Thanksgiving break. although writer's block did attack me last night, so maybe not. x.x

as for the rest of life...5 months with Thomas as of next Monday, winter musical starting soon, A's in all my classes except AP Chem (erm...kinda have a D- there), and my dad is coming for Thanksgiving. and I'll be 17 in less than two weeks. oh my.
